The Vietnam nurse diaspora in the US
Vietnamese-born nurses are concentrated on the West Coast and in Texas. The Vietnamese American Nurses Association provides mentorship and scholarship support. Vietnam is part of the Western Pacific Region where nurse migration flows vary significantly — the region averages 36 nurses per 10,000 population, near the global average (CGFNS 2023 Nurse Migration Report).
