The Dominican Republic nurse diaspora in the US

The Dominican-American community is one of the largest Latin American diaspora groups in the US, exceeding 2 million people and concentrated heavily in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Dominican-trained nurses benefit from this established community. The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) and regional Dominican professional associations provide support. Spanish-language training requires English proficiency preparation for NCLEX.

NCLEX-RN testing centers near Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic does not currently have an NCLEX testing center. Dominican candidates typically travel to Puerto Rico (the closest option) or the US mainland to sit for the exam.
